Imagine being so worthless as a person that you feel the need to go out of your way to disparage someone’s place of business simply because you don’t agree with the owner’s politics. Here’s a novel idea. If someone else’s opinion — that doesn’t affect you personally in the least — bothers you that much, just don’t go to that establishment. But, for unhinged leftists to attack someone’s livelihood is out of bounds.

That’s probably why President Donald Trump stepped in and helped Sammy’s Mexican Grill in Tucson — not Phoenix — Arizona.

Jorge and Betty Rivas own Sammy’s Mexican Grill, and they’ve never been shy about their support for Trump. They received backlash in the form of poor reviews on their Facebook page after attending a recent Trump rally in Phoenix, and said that it’s very similar to 2016 when they first gave their support to Trump.

“We have never denied or [tried to] hide from what we stand for or what we believe,” Jorge Rivas told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday.

“We know that it’s important for us to stay out there, to say what we feel.,” Rivas also said. “I personally feel that for me, staying quiet, saying, ‘Oh I’m not going to express my opinion because they might attack me,’ that would go against what I believe. That would go against what America stands for.”

Absolutely! I don’t care who you support. You have the right as an American to publicly voice that support without fear of persecution, as long as it doesn’t infringe on anyone else’s rights.

Trump apparently doesn’t like bullies, because he came to the aid of the Rivas’s by giving them his support.

Take a look:

Of course, the trolls who dominate Twitter — because they simply have nothing better to do — criticized Trump because “orange man bad.” I’m not going to show their tweets, but you can click on Trump’s tweet if you’re that much of a glutton for punishment.

As for Sammy’s Mexican Grill, I kinda feel like getting a homemade tamale, a steak burrito and a horchata to wash it all down.

Here are videos of local coverage talking about both the backlash and the support the restaurant has received:
