We know President Trump can be quite the comedian and today was no exception to that.
While being questioned by a number of reporters at the White House, the president thanked CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta for a job well done while he was at the border in McAllen, Texas.
“Good job yesterday. I appreciate your salesmanship,” Trump told Acosta.
Acosta tried to cover up his foolishness by saying that where he was he could see no illegal immigration present. Trump made it very clear why that was the case.
“Oh, you didn’t? I know. That’s because we had a wall,” he said.
At the close of the video Trump says, "Good promotion for us."
If you missed it, here’s the tweet from the CNN Correspondent that started this conversation:
I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today. pic.twitter.com/KRoLdszLUu— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) January 10, 2019
