Well, that’s certainly one way to go about it.
President Donald Trump, in an interview with The Daily Caller on Wednesday, made some very inflammatory remarks about the domestic terrorist group Antifa. Trump spoke candidly, as if he speaks any other way, about the pushback that “violent leftists” and “Antifa members” could receive if they don’t begin to curb their militant ways.
“These people, like the Antifa — they better hope that the opposition to Antifa decides not to mobilize. Because if they do, they’re much tougher. Much stronger. Potentially much more violent,” Trump told The Daily Caller. “And Antifa’s going to be in big trouble. But so far they haven’t done that and that’s a good thing.”
I’ve had my own dealings with Antifa before, but rhetoric like this doesn’t help the situation that the left constantly accuses the right of. However, Trump did expand on his response, which clarified what he meant by his original answer on groups like Antifa.
“[Antifa] better hope that the other side doesn’t mobilize,” Trump said. “Because if you look, the other side, it’s the military. It’s the police. It’s a lot of very strong, a lot of very tough people. Tougher than them. And smarter than them.”
A follow-up like that is something I can get on board with. Let the police or the military deal with these Communist scumbags, if their respective city governments aren’t holding the authorities back to allow these groups to do their damage. As much as everyday people might want to physically respond to Antifa, those losers aren’t worth going to jail over. Trust me.
Trump also commented on the horrible situation that saw Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s family in harm’s way as a result of the low-IQ Antifa assault on his home last week.
“I spoke to Tucker — I think Tucker’s a great guy — and I think it’s terrible,” Trump said. “They were actually trying to break down [Tucker’s] door.”
The Antifa cowards did so while having to know that Carlson himself wouldn’t be home. I’m still not sure why they haven’t been found and put in jail.
Antifa members are terribly misguided people whose tactics are that of a 3-year-old who only wants things their way or they throw a temper tantrum. Someone give these freaks a pacifier and tell them to chill out.
