Trump Slams Sen. Sanders as 'Racist' Amid Feud with Rep. Cummings

Over the weekend, President Trump took to Twitter and launched a storm of tweets criticizing Rep. Elijah Cummings' (D-Md.) for failing to represent his constituents.

Trump tweeted calling his 7th District "a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess."

"If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place," wrote Trump, who then labelled the whole feud as "King Elijah's Baltimore Fail."

Rep. Cummings' defenders in the media and the Democratic Party immediately went to the default Democrat rebuttal and labeled the president a racist -- even though the "disaster" decline of Baltimore has been written about before.

From the rat-infested streets to one of the highest murders per capita rates in the nation, Trump pointed out the Third World conditions in Baltimore, conditions that had been backed up by reporting from Fox News.

Even a former mayor of Baltimore had some not too kind words for the state of many Baltimore neighborhoods as she walked through them.

President Trump tweeted and re-tweeted multiple examples of the conditions in Baltimore. The president didn't take the attacks of racism lying down as he would tweet out saying Rep. Cummings was the racist and that his “radical oversight is a joke!"

President Trump pointed out that his attacks were not racist because much of what he said had been said before by the media and even 2020 Democratic hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders

President Trump then pointed out the success of his economic opportunity zones, a federal program that has targeted areas in Baltimore and help drive investment in poor areas of the country.
