Philippine President Threatens To Cannibalize Terrorists

2.4k views

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is known for making some…interesting statements.

And now, apparently, he's taken to promoting the cannibalism of terrorists.

According to the New York Post, in response to the beheading of two Vietnamese sailors by Islamic terrorists with the Abu Sayyaf terror group last November, Duterte threatened to actually eat the terrorists if they could be found.

“I will eat your liver if you want me to. Give me salt and vinegar and I will eat it raw in front of you,” he boasted to local officials during a meeting.

“I will eat everything. I am not picky. I eat even what cannot be swallowed," he added.

This isn't the first time Duterte has made bizarre remarks about cannibalizing terrorists. When Abu Sayyaf bombed the Vietnamese city of Davao last year, killing 15 people and wounding 71, the president also threatened them to eat them back then, saying, "If I have to face them, you know I can eat humans. I will really open up your body. Just give me vinegar and salt, and I will eat you.”

The optimist in me really hopes we never get to find out if Duterte really does have a taste for human flesh.
