Poll: 40% Are Less Likely to Believe NBC Reporting after Williams' Lie

It appears that the ongoing scandal over Brian Williams' fabricated Iraq story is taking its toll on the entire NBC News network.

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, forty percent  of those questioned said that they  are less likely to believe the reporting on NBC News "because Williams didn’t tell the truth."

Eight percent actually said they are MORE likely to believe NBC reporting because of the lie.

What's more, 40% also believe that Brian Williams should resign as anchor because of his comments.

Perhaps not as surprising, only 25% of self-described Democrats said that they are now less likely to believe the reporting on NBC News. Gotta circle the wagons, for the most powerful media ally that the liberal movment has, right?

NBC News is the highest-rated nightly news program, but Williams has been absent from the anchor's desk since the scandal gained national attention.
