Police Stand in for Soldier at His Daughter’s Kindergarten Graduation

When an Arizona police officer serving overseas couldn't be home for his daughter’s kindergarten graduation ceremony, his brothers and sisters in blue decided to show up on his behalf.

While Shawn Prinkley was not able to see his little girl Sophia graduate, he can rest assured that his fellow officers at the Mesa Police Department will be there for his family during his deployment.

"Motor Officer Shawn Prinkey is currently serving overseas in our nation’s armed forces," wrote City of Mesa PD on their Facebook page.

"He couldn’t attend this special event for his daughter, so his brothers and sisters in Blue decided to step up and let Shawn’s family know that we are here for them."

“We will always support our brothers and sisters serving our great country and we will continue to support those families who are serving here at home,” Mesa PD said. “Stay safe Shawn and Godspeed.”

Talk about a beautiful moment.
