Let me ask you a question. What happens when left-wing activists come in contact with a Christian-run organization?

The answer: the left-wing activists attempt to destroy the organization in any way they can.

Yep, thats about right.

Chick-fil-A, the most “bestest” fast food chain in the world today, is being attacked once again by liberals because of their Christian beliefs.

The fast food chain is the sponsor of a one-mile run in the annual DICK’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon for May 2019, an event that's billed as a “wonderful way for kids (and their families)” to get pumped about living a more active lifestyle.

Despite the marathon being an event of fun and games, the Pittsburgh City Council found a way to make the event about something else entirely. In an effort to show people that they don’t stand for "discrimination," all nine members of the council signed a letter asking the marathon organizers to drop Chick-fil-A as a sponsor.

"The leadership of Chick-Fil-A has openly and passionately promulgated hateful beliefs against the LGBTQIA+ community," the letter reads. "Additionally, the company has financed organizations staunchly opposed to same-sex marriage and non-discrimination laws and other groups that equate ‘homosexual behavior and lifestyle’ with lawlessness and in opposition to the ‘the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.'"

Instead, the city council urged DICK's “to make the right decision for Pittsburgh and its families and remove Chick-Fil-A” as the sponsor of the run.

It’s interesting how the city council somehow "knows" what the “right decision” is. How can they decide for so many people that getting rid of Chick-fil-A is the correct course of action?

No surprise, but the opposition didn’t stop with the city council.

“The city’s school board also plans to vote on a resolution that would forbid formal district participation in the race if Chick-fil-A remains affiliated with it,” Life Site News reports.

Despite all the controversy, DICK's has been holding their ground, making it clear that they strive “to be inclusive of any and all members of the Pittsburgh community.”

“We have and will continue to be accepting of any individual or family who wants to participate in our events. We are working with organizations throughout the region to ensure we continue to expand our programming accordingly,” they wrote in a statement. “This partnership with Chick-fil-A will help us ensure even more children in southwestern Pennsylvania can learn and share in our love of running.

This serves as a needed reminder to those who may fear the tactics of left-wing activists.  You can stand up for yourself and for what you believe in without cowering to the Left’s scare tactics - there is no need to back down.

Glad to see Pittsburgh Marathon has that kind of backbone and hopefully they’ll retain it as the date for the one-mile run approaches.
