You don’t have to be “anti-vax” to not be sure about getting the Chinese coronavirus vaccine. But, some foreign governments are taking steps to make sure their people are vaccinated, whether they like it or not. Could this be coming to a country near you?
Earlier this week, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte didn’t mince words in the steps he and the government he controls will take if the people of the Philippines don’t get the “jab.”
“You choose, vaccine or I will have you jailed,” Duterte said on Monday during a televised address.
Duterte continued to try and persuade people to get vaccinated by describing the poor conditions in the country’s jails.
“I’m telling you, those police jail cells are filthy and foul-smelling, police are lazy in cleaning,” Duterte said. “That is where you’ll be.”
For all the faults that the U.S. may have, depending on what you consider to be faults based on your ideological leanings, at least you don’t live in the Philippines.
