As of late Thursday night, more than a million people have signed a petition to boycott Target after the retail giant announced it would begin allowing biological males to use women’s restrooms and dressing rooms.

Target says its new “inclusive” policy will ensure transgendered persons are able to use the bathroom that corresponds with their “gender identity” instead of their biological sex.

"[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity. ...Everyone deserves to feel like they belong," Target explained in a statement.

The American Family Association, the group that first launched the petition, alleges Target’s new policy will expose young girls and women to sexual predators.

This means a man can simply say he "feels like a woman today" and enter the women's restroom...even if young girls or women are already in there.

Target's policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims.

AFA adds, “[W]e think the average Target customer is willing to pledge to boycott Target stores until it makes protecting women and children a priority.”

Even as the petition’s signatures crept past 950,000 on Thursday afternoon, Target higher-ups released a statement to Mediate saying they still stand behind their new store policy.
