People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent out a tweet applauding the movie “Jurassic World” for not using real animals in the film.

To make the point that “you don’t need to use real animals to make a great movie,” PETA sent out the following tweet on June 12:

In the accompanying photo, PETA showed a scene from the movie in which a shark is eaten by a dinosaur.

“Jurassic World” is part of the “Jurassic Park” film series, which revolves primarily around dinosaurs.

It would not have been possible for “Jurassic World” to have been filmed using real dinosaurs, as dinosaurs have been extinct for approximately 65 million years.
