Shortly after a judge struck down the Biden administration’s mask mandate for air travel, airlines across the country one-by-one began announcing – some mid-flight – that facemasks on planes were now “optional,” ending more than two years of compulsory face diapering in the skies.
Social media immediately lit up with video of pilots announcing to their applauding passengers that they were free to remove their masks and breathe the clear air.
One stewardess broke down in tears while giving the news over her cabin's loudspeaker.

Here’s the reaction today from two Southwest employees who have been forced to participate in theater in their workplace long after most Americans.
