An Oklahoma girl's parents are suing their child's school after they say their teenage daughter was brutally assaulted in the bathroom by a biological male who masquerades as a girl.

According to the lawsuit, the 15-year-old girl was beaten by the 17-year-old transgender student in a girl's bathroom at Edmond Memorial High School back in December. The assault allegedly began when the trans student, identified in the suit as "A," walked into the bathroom and started a verbal altercation with the 15-year-old girl, identified only as "V." After a brief spat, "A" allegedly began repeatedly punching the victim in the face and pulling her hair. Two other girls reportedly tried to intervene, only to be punched themselves for their trouble. The 15-year-old girl said the boy's first punch left her unable to fight back.

A police report states at least one of the female victims sustained injuries to the "eye, face and head with a possible concussion."

The parents said the trans student - a biological male who dresses as a female - had made threats of physical violence before the incident. Nonetheless, the male student was allowed to use the girls' bathroom at the school thanks to a state law signed by Gov. Kevin Stitt that mandates schools allow students to use whatever facilities correspond with their "gender identity."

Now, the family of the victim is demanding $75,000 in damages for "severe physical and mental injuries, severe physical and mental pain and suffering, and severe emotional distress." Which tends to happen when you get beaten to a pulp by a dude in a bathroom in a school that's supposed to be a safe place. Meanwhile, the school system has tried to calm outraged parents while refusing to denounce the policy that allowed a boy into the girl's bathroom in the first place.

"You may ask yourself how can that happen?" Edmond Public Schools Superintendent Angela Grunewald said in a statement after the incident. "It’s hard to explain, but if a parent comes in and enrolls their child as a certain gender, and when you look at that child by all social norms they look and present themselves as that gender, it’s not something that you would question."

Actually, it's not that hard to explain at all. A male student was allowed to use a girls' private facility because he threw on a skirt and some eyeshadow, and out politicians and educators are too pathetic to push back on that delusion. He got into a fight with a vulnerable female and, thanks to his stature and physical advantages, was able to lay a girl out flat with a single blow. Which basic science should tell you is practically an inevitability.

Now, why anyone would think a boy can be a girl and should be allowed in female-only spaces? Now that is hard to explain.
