Palin and Sharpton Met at SNL40… And Boy Was It Awkward

MSNBC's Rev. Al Sharpton and outspoken Republican Sarah Palin met on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary red carpet event Saturday night.

“We are the direct opposites of American politics but we’re here tonight,” Sharpton said.

“We both love America so much,” Palin chimed in. “That’s why we’re here tonight.”

Surprisingly enough, the polar opposites were able to agree on one thing:

“We’re equally spoofed [by SNL],” Sharpton joked with Palin.

The Reverend apparently even encouraged the former Alaska governor to run for office in 2016.
