As if the garish, hypocrisy-filled circus of the Democrat National Convention didn’t offer enough obnoxious, whopper-filled moments to bruise the brain, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo sat down with ABC News to deliver another facet to the socialist spectacle - first claiming that the revelations of 15 months of falsely rosy employment data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) came from the Trump camp, then claiming that she had not seen the numbers, and then claiming that she did not believe the numbers.
If, a year ago, she had said that she didn’t believe the utopian, fake BLS numbers for all of 2023 and much of 2024, she would have been in line with reality and with many of us, who usually are skeptical of the government’s self-aggrandizing, tax-paid data massagers. But, of course, when the fakery provided cover for her and her collectivist ilk, when the BLS was spewing pro-Biden BS for the past year and more, she was silent.
Nary a nay-say, from Raimondo.
It took this exchange with ABC News correspondent Kayna Whitworth, in which the reporter cited a new report from the BLS that "revised" Biden's job record by 818,000 fewer jobs "created" than had been previously claimed, to reveal the “Commerce Secretary” for her ignorance and zealous denial of reality.
Asked Whitworth, “When you hear that (the truth about the puffed-up employment stats), do you think that could be a liability for this (Harris-Walz) campaign?”
Replied Raimondo, “No. When I hear that – First of all, I don’t believe it because I’ve never heard Donald Trump say anything truthful.”
To which Whitworth correctly replied, "It is, though, from the Bureau of Labor."
And, frighteningly, Raimondo either lied or exposed her towering ignorance by saying, "I don’t – I'm not familiar with that."
Gina Raimondo, United States Secretary of Commerce for Biden/Harris since 2021, didn't know that the Bureau of Labor Statistics lowered job numbers by 818,000. In her ignorance, she claimed that it was a Donald Trump lie. But it was our government who lied about job creation. pic.twitter.com/TXuIhHG7YI

Ouch.
Of course, it’s more painful for us civilians, us plebians who try to work or keep our jobs while paying the taxes to not only fill Raimondo’s coffers but also fund the sketchy Bureau of Labor statistics, which has a reputation for veracity that’s about as strong as Joe Biden’s. We see the stark truth, the harsh reality created by government taxes, mandates, prohibitions of free commerce, pork-barrel spending, and debt that both enslaves future generations and spurs the Federal Reserve to create more worthless cash and inflate the money supply, bidding up prices.

We see the darkly comic parade of government glad-handlers and soothe-sayers, the appointees like Raimondo who seem to be willing to say anything, make any cosmic claim, as long as they can get away with it.
And we remember moments like this, when, after the BLS reveals its monumentally insulting months of BS, the parasitic head of the “Commerce” commissariat denies the obvious and is revealed by an honest reporter to be an abject deceiver.
Raimondo’s department works hand-in-hand with the BLS. And, though both the Commerce Department and the BLS exist contrary to a real reading of the U.S. Constitution’s “Interstate Commerce Clause” in Section One, Article Eight, the two arms of this monstrous leviathan actually were one unit until 1913, when the Bureau of Labor was split off and became its own, wondrously annoying branch.
Constitutionally, the BLS really has no justification to be “counting” anything, regardless of the often-ridiculous Sudoku they produce. Practically, they operate more like Orwell’s Ministry of Plenty, offering fake stats to promote the government, then, quietly revising the stats a few weeks later.
As MRCTV’s Craig Bannister noted last week:
“There were 818,000 fewer jobs created than previously reported, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BLS) admitted Wednesday in its revision of the job growth for the 12 months through March 2024.
That averages a monthly decrease of 68,167 jobs, dropping monthly job growth to 174,000 – well below the 200,000 benchmark separating “good” from “poor” monthly growth.
Due to the downward revisions to the 12-month, non-farm job estimates:
- Total non-farm job creation was revised down from 2.9 million to 2.1 million.
- The average number of jobs added per month was revised down from 242,000 to 174,000.
- Professional and business services job growth was cut by 358,000.
- Leisure and hospitality job growth was cut by 150,000.
- Manufacturing job growth was cut by 115,000.
- Job growth in the trade, transportation and utilities sector was lowered by 104,000.
- Retail trade job growth was revised down by 129,000.”
If you hired an accounting firm and they engaged in that kind of fraud, you likely would never hire them again.
But you have no choice in this, because this is the polis, and the political players have absolutely no incentive, and indicate that they have no interest, in doing what you want, doing it right, and being truthful for you. They are incentivized to promote themselves and their rainbow-and-unicorn government policies.
As noted earlier. Raimondo would have been on sturdier ground if she had spoken up about the BS of the BLS a long time ago. Now, she just spouts more of her own BS, and makes herself look the fool.
