According to the local CBS affiliate, more than 1,000 people showed up to Friday’s grassroots pro-life rally in Philadelphia in front of the Planned Parenthood of Southeast Pennsylvania.

The event, organized in just a few short days by several heavy-hitters in the pro-life movement including The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh and LiveAction’s Lila Rose, was a simultaneous rally in support of defending the unborn while also pushing back on Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims, a Democratic lawmaker who recently went viral online after filming himself harassing a group of teenage girls and an elderly woman who were praying outside of the abortion clinic.

Speakers included Walsh and Rose, as well as former Planned Parenthood director-turned-pro-life activist Abby Johnson and several women who stepped up to share their own abortion stories.

On top of that, the event also featured the mother of the teen girls Sims had harassed in his video. Check out a clip from her speech:

Predictably, Sims failed to show up to the rally to confront the hundreds of bold pro-lifers who showed up in response to his bullying and demanding his resignation.

While Sims had offered a measly $100 to anyone who could publicly identify the three underage girls who’d been praying at the clinic, it turns out the girls’ parents ended up raising more than $100,000 for a Philadelphia-based pro-life group after Sims’ video went viral.
