Shots rang out during the filming of a rap music video on Chicago’s South Side, and unlike some other rap videos, these shots were real.

One person is dead as a result of the shooting and four others have been injured. Damond Dawson, 23, was shot in the back of the head and died on scene. His rap name was “Thugga.”

The suspects left the scene and are still at-large. Police are currently searching for the shooter(s).

According to WGN:

The artist filming the video, ForeignLyfe, said they were producing a party scene. The camera was rolling at the time of the shooting, but it was not pointed at the gunmen. Police have taken the production camera as well as the footage.

Perhaps most ironic is that the song the group was shooting the video for was entitled, “2 Techs and a 50 Shot.”
