Offended University Student Offers Reward for Identity of ‘TRUMP’ Chalk ‘Culprit’

A Binghamton University student is personally offering a $100 reward for anyone who can identify the person who chalked “TRUMP” on campus because it hurt his feelings.

In a post on Facebook, self-described “victim advocate” Aref Afshar said he felt like he “wasn’t very welcome” on campus upon discovering “TRUMP,” “MAGA” (an acronym for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again”), and “BUILD THE WALL” in chalk writing.

Afshar wrote, “With the aid of a couple of amazing people, We spent around 30 minutes attempting to wash off the lettering with plastic cups of water from the marketplace until UPD said they would get it cleaned.”

In the post, Afshar claimed Binghamton University Police are “looking into the matter.”

In order to hasten the alleged police investigation, Afshar announced he is selflessly “personally offering $100 dollars to [sic] information and evidence leading to the identification of the culprit” because “[h]ate is #notmybinghamton.”

Binghamton University Police were uncooperative with MRCTV’s request for comment. The police told MRCTV they could not discuss the details of any potential police investigation and demanded MRCTV submit a FOIA request if we were interested in obtaining more information.

However, Binghamton’s director of media and public relations told MRCTV there were no witnesses to the incident and therefore there are “no current investigations underway.”
