Ocasio-Cortez Wants to 'Run Train' on the Progressive Agenda

There are a few definitions you can find for the word “train.” You can define “train” as teaching a new person on the job the tasks they need to perform, or you can be talking about the locomotive that moves along the railroad tracks. But when you talk about “running a train,” we’ve entered a whole new arena.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or the “Democrats' Great Hope,” got herself some extra media coverage after she had something rather “interesting” to say during an interview with The Washington Post.

The 29-year-old congresswoman was discussing how she has become a “target” to those on the right, saying, “Dude, you’re all out of bullets, you’re all out of bombs, you’re all out of all this stuff. What have you got left? I’m six days into the term, and you already used all your ammo. So enjoy being exhausted for the next two years while we run train on the progressive agenda.”

“Run train?” Yep, run train.

Just look that up in the urban dictionary.

Prior to her statement to The Post, Cortez mentioned that her opponents spend “a very long time” taking things she says out of context. But I’m not sure this “run train” comment can be taken any other way than what it is. I mean she even made sure to say they’ll be “exhausted.” Ghee-wiz, Alexandria.

I’m sure the self-defined socialist will be so happy to see that her “opponents” have taken to Twitter to “misconstrue” her words.

Now, Cortez does have some supporters out there who have said to “run train” is a gaming term that means to “put work” on your opponents, claiming no sexual intent was apparent.

No one can say for sure what Cortez meant we she said she wanted to “run train,” but we can definitely add these words to the bag of “interesting” comments the freshman congresswoman has blurted out of her mouth.
