For the eighth year in a row, the Obamas neglected to mention the word “Christmas” on their family’s annual Christmas card.
“Happy Holidays,” the card reads. “We wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a wonderful new year.”
While Obama has said “Merry Christmas” at events such as the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in December, over his entire two terms, the President has intentionally left out the phrase from the First Family's Christmas card.
President-elect Donald Trump has promised that the phrase, “Merry Christmas,” will make a comeback across the country under his administration.
