Obama's Globalist Agenda on Full Display During Lecture in South Africa

4.3k views

Democracy typically leads to Socialism. And, as former head of the Soviet Union Vladimir Lenin once said, “The goal of Socialism is Communism.”

Don’t tell former president Barack Obama that, because he openly advocated for “globalism” while speaking at the Communistic 16th Annual Nelson Mandela lecture in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday, bashing everything from people who love their country and rich people to the “gender-pay gap,” men, the Right, income inequality, continuing racism against black people, climate change skeptics and the list went on and on.

At one point, Obama spoke of the “progressive” ideal to tax the wealthy into the poor house by paying for everyone else.

“There’s only so much you can eat,” Obama said with a smile. “There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take.”

Obama’s most likely not talking about himself, since he and his family spent $35 million in taxpayer money visiting his home state of Hawaii on multiple occasions, not including trips to other places around the globe.

There was so much to unpack from Obama’s lengthy Progressive speech — while he commemorated the Communist Mandela — that it’s difficult to point out just a few snippets of the former U.S. president’s globalist narrative.

Here are a few of Obama’s pearls of wisdom:

...During the last decades of the 20th century, the Progressive-Democratic vision that Nelson Mandela represented in many ways set the terms of international political debate. It doesn’t mean that vision was always victorious, but it set the terms — the parameters. It guided how we thought about the meaning of progress.

...In fact, it is in part because of the failures of governments and powerful elites — to squarely address the shortcomings and contradictions of this international order — that we now see much of the world threatening to return to an older, a more dangerous, a more brutal way of doing business.

...Ethnic and religious differences still determine who gets oppotunity, from Central Europe to the [Persian] Gulf. It is a plain fact that racial discrimination still exits in both the United States and South Africa.

...Women and girls around the world continue to be blocked from positions of power and authority. They continue to be prevented from getting a basic education. They are disproportionately victimized by violence and abuse. They’re still paid less than men for doing the same work. That’s still happening.

...And while globalization and technology have opened up new opportunities, [they] have driven remarkable economic growth — in previously struggling parts of the world. Globalization has also upended the agricultural and manufacturing sectors in many countries. It has also greatly reduced the demand for certain workers - has helped weakened unions and laborers bargaining power. It’s made it easier for capital to avoid tax laws and the regulations of nation-states. They just move billions and trillions of dollars with the tap of a computer key. And the result of all these trends has been an explosion of economic inequality.

In the latter-half of his speech, Obama praised the French national soccer team for their win in the 2018 World Cup -- not for winning, but for having more black people on the team than in previous years.

Obama’s final point was to call out “tribalism” — nationalism, if you prefer — in perhaps his most hypocritical argument. All this coming from the guy who backed the divisive Black Lives Matter group at a police memorial and promoted the kind of thinking that lead black Harvard students to hold a black-only graduation. All this from the guy who went on an “apology tour” around the world to beg the rest of the world for forgiveness because of how evil America is. All this from the guy who couldn’t be bothered to attend either former First Lady Nancy Reagan or late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s funerals.

But, Obama was front-and-center at Mandela’s funeral.

Obama’s an efficiently smooth speaker who knows how to distort the truth in order to achieve his ultimate vision — a globalist utopia that doesn’t exist, no matter how hard the far-Left tries.
