Obama: I Got the Economy 'Set Up Well' For 'Cartoon' Trump

April's highly anticipated economy numbers are out -- and they're great.

According to the Labor Department, the unemployment rate is down to 3.8%, tying April 2000 as the lowest jobless rate since 1969. With wages increasing as more jobs are being created, the good news keeps on coming.

One man says he saw this growth coming right after the election, and believes he deserves the credit. That's right - it's Obama.

Former Obama aide Ben Rhodes recently released a few excerpts from his upcoming book, "The World as It Is," where he quotes Obama after the 2016 presidential election as saying, "Maybe this is what people want. I've got the economy set up well for him. No facts. No consequences. They can just have a cartoon."

Never mind the so called "cartoon" President Trump and his administration's deregulation effort or Congress' tax cuts -- the credit for the booming economy should apparently go to the man who heavily regulated the economy, costing the nation over $100 billion, while also enforcing a socialist-like healthcare mandate that, thanks to Congress, is now gone.

But sure, Obama. If you say so.
