Obama Not Sure if He Smoked Weed: ‘I DON’T KNOW if That’s True’

When a Vietnamese attendee at a town hall asked Pres. Obama about his weed-smoking past, the U.S. president replied that he “didn’t know” if reports of his marijuana use were true. And, after expounding on his personal turn-around, warned, “Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet.

Speaking to a group of young Vietnamese leaders in Ho Chi Minh city, Obama was hit with the accusation and asked to explain how and why he got his life together and went on to achieve greatness:

Q:    “Thank you.  I'm a filmmaker, so I'm very interested in personal stories.  And you said before, when you are young you're like fooling around.  And I read on Internet -- I'm not sure if it's true or not -- that you also like smoking weed and things like that.”

OBAMA:  “I don’t know if that's true.”

How can he not “know” if he smoked weed, especially since he described doing it in his book?

ABC news seemed pretty sure of it when they published this report, and USABuzz has even posted an “Obama Drug Use Book.”

Maybe, he really doesn’t remember. As this piece in American Thinker posited when Obama twice forget he had daughters and said he had “two sons":

“With the president's admitted past drug use and the recent revelations about how he was a member of the "Choom Gang" in high school, is it hard to imagine that he might have damaged his mind through the abuse of recreational drugs?”

Whatever the truth, Pres. Obama’s warning that you shouldn’t “believe EVERYTHING you read on the Internet” is fair – but, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t believe ANYTHING.
