President Obama made an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood where he was primarily on to talk about Selma, however, he also touched on the Hillary Clinton controversy surrounding the use of her personal email account.

Charles Osgood asked President Obama, “Mr. President, when did you first learn that Hilllary Clinton used email system outside the U.S. Government for official business while she was secretary of state?”

Obama responded with, “The same time everybody else learned it...through news reports.”

Then he spoke highly of Clinton while also managing to talk about himself, saying, “Let me just say that Hillary Clinton is and has been an outstanding public servant. She was a great secretary of state for me. The policy of the administration to encourage transparency and that's why my e-mails from my blackberry that I carry around all those records are available and archived. I'm glad that Hilary is instructed that those e-mails that had to do with official business need to be disclosed.”

This is not surprising if you think about it. This seems to be Obama’s scapegoat. During the IRS scandal Obama said, “I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this.”

Then again, he also did say that he doesn’t actually learn things from the news. Obama spoke at a fundraiser on July 22, 2014 where he stated, “Whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know.”

So, did he already know about Hillary's personal account or did he simply learn about it when we all did? Which leads me to the next question, is his administration that incompetent or is the new media just that good?
