A week from Sunday, people all over the world will rejoice as their wait for the sixth season of HBO’s mega-hit “Game of Thrones” returns.

However, one person who just could not wait like the rest of us was none other than President Obama, who actually asked to see episodes of the show before the official premier date.

At HBO’s Facebook Live Stream event, two of the show’s executives, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, were asked whether they gave in to Obama's request.

What was their response?

“Yes,” Weiss answered. “He’s the leader of the free world.”

Benioff said, “When the commander-in-chief says, ‘I want to see advanced episodes,’ what are you gonna do?”

Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth in the show, seemed a little disappointed about the whole deal.

“Did you know he gets advance copies? POTUS,” Cunningham observed. “He gets DVD copies before we do. And we’re in it!”

We hope Obama enjoys his advanced screening of Game of Thrones, because you know…priorities.
