Some people are just bad people. There’s no two ways around it. They cheer for the boots of governments around the world when they step on people and exert more control over their everyday lives.

Now, I’m not calling radical leftist and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) a bad person. But, I’m not not calling him a bad person either. However, when you thank a foreign government for banning one of the avenues of free speech for its people, you might want to look in the mirror and ask yourself whether you’re the bad guy or not.

After Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes issued a “blockade” of CEO Elon Musk’s X platform in the country, Ellison — ironically — took to X to post his thanks to “Brasil” for making the move.

“Obrigado Brasil!” Ellison posted.

Obrigado is one of the ways to say thank you in Portuguese.

This is the same Ellison who once compared U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to the house slave in the Quentin Tarantino film, “Django Unchained.”

For someone that applauds the removal of a method of free speech for people, and access to news across the world, Ellison comparing anyone to a house slave is the height of irony.

As for the decision to block the X platform in Brazil, it came during “an escalation in a monthslong feud between Musk and de Moraes over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation,” according to the Associated Press (AP).

At the very least, Ellison has remained consistent with his radically far-left stances and hasn’t deviated from that agenda. Gotta love communism, am I right?
