The question of President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline is much debated among the warring factions of today’s Uber-divided political climate. One side says there’s nothing wrong with him. The other side says that Biden is a few crayons short of a full box. Either way, no one can deny that this president makes more verbal faux pas then any major political figure in recent memory.

First, let’s take a look and listen at what Joe Biden said on Wednesday:

Sorry. Did he say “Dong Chow Ping?” “In the Himalayas?”

Now, nitpicking at the verbiage Biden actually uttered, some wonder whether he was talking about meeting with current communist Chinese Dictator Xi Jinping, while others believe it was a reference to former dictator Deng Xiaoping, who ran China from 1978 to 1989 and died in 1997.

It’s not exactly clear what importance any kind of meeting with the deceased Deng would have to do with his relations with China today. And sure, Biden might’ve attempted to convey strength towards Chinese and other world leaders, but Xi is the dictator NOW, not Deng.

Maybe someone needs to rewind Biden’s teleprompter and let him try again. Who knows what variations will come out of his mouth?
