While I understand that there are a lot of people who are afraid of voicing their political opinion or supporting a particular person in any endeavor of life, there needs to be some accountability for those that hold your livelihood over your head as a way to get you to act like they want you to act instead of living a relatively free life.

UFC President Dana White couldn’t care less about what other people or entities think or have to say about his beliefs or who his friends might be.

On comedian Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast on Tuesday, Von and White spoke about the fear that certain people, groups or companies try to instill into people over their political leanings or personal beliefs.

White told a story about how a major sponsor of the UFC called him up to pressure him into taking a post down on one of his personal social media accounts. White’s response to them is what more people should do if they feel pressured into doing something in most situations.

I posted a video for [former President Donald] Trump, right, on my personal social media. And one of our big sponsors called and said, ‘Take that down.’ You know what I said? ‘Go f**k yourself. You vote for whoever you wanna vote for, and I’ll vote for whoever I wanna vote for. That’s how this works. I don’t even care who you’re voting for. It’s none of my f**king business. But, f**k you. Don’t ever call me and tell me who to vote for.’

It doesn’t matter who you vote for. That’s your right as an American. If you want to go to the ballot box and write in Santa Claus, you can do so. But don’t feel pressured to vote for someone based on the pressure applied by others.
