Tesla founder and X CEO Elon Musk announced Monday evening that X has experienced a "massive DDOS attack" as his scheduled interview with former president and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was supposed to occur.
Musk followed up by quelling leftists' biggest hope that X couldn't handle the amount of people trying to join the conversation, saying that the platform tested the Spaces system "8 million concurrent listeners earlier today."
For context, a DDOS attack "is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service, or network by overwhelming it with a flood of Internet traffic from multiple sources. This type of attack aims to exhaust the target’s resources, making it unavailable to legitimate users."

Musk also announced that the interview, originally scheduled for 8 p.m. EST will now attempt to begin at 8:30 p.m. EST, which is the very minute this information is being written.
We will proceed with the smaller number of concurrent listeners at 8:30 ET and then post the unedited audio immediately thereafter https://t.co/oxF8PsNHnZ

The Spaces system seems to be working right now, but there's still a delay on the beginning as they possibly allow the room to populate.
Stay tuned for more if there's anything Earth-shattering that goes down in the interview.
