Why is it that people in or promoting of the LGBTQ community and “Pride” think that life only happens to them? At this point, the amount of conceit within said community can only be quantified with an infinite tape measure.
Star of the new Disney+ “Star Wars” series, “The Acolyte,” and the film’s creator sat down with TheWrap to talk about the show, but specifically about how “gay” it is. Yes, that’s for real.
I’m not a “Star Wars” nerd, so I don’t know the lore or canon, however you’d like to refer to it. And, I don’t even really care if the new series has “gay” themes or not. I wouldn’t be seeing the series regardless. Disney has to prove that they can make a quality product again before I spend any amount of time watching their ideological drivel.
It’s when people like the show’s star Amandla Stenberg and creator Leslye Headland, an open lesbian, joke about and promote the series as being “the gayest Star Wars,” despite — ironically — not agreeing that it is that gay.

The interviewer, who couldn’t be more flamboyant if you tried (not that there’s anything wrong that), broached the subject about “The Acolyte” being “pretty gay, let’s be honest.”
Despite not agreeing that the series is that gay, even though people tell her that “it’s the gayest Star Wars,” Headland coyly said she’s “into it.”
Maybe it’s that she’s a lesbian and she doesn’t see the content being that “gay,” because she’s a writer and created the series from her perspective. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she just has blinders on. Only the people who objectively watch can determine the level of “gay” the show pushes.
As for seeing things with a bias, or from her own perspective, Stenberg noted that “in her world” nerds that would watch the show are gay. Although, to be fair, the interviewer did note that many nerds are not gay, saying that straight nerds are “threatened” by something being “gay.”

We are happy to report that #TheAcolyte is “arguably the gayest #StarWars” yet. 🌈 Happy Pride Month! 😉 pic.twitter.com/3oJSykc4Kq
