People are sick. No, I mean our society is really f***ed up. Admittedly, I dislike a fair amount of people. In fact, there are those that I would use as strong a word as hate to describe my feelings towards them, but you have to be a real piece of work for me to get to that point. However, one thing I never do is wish death upon someone. That’s some sociopathic “ish” right there.

The study shows 28% of Democrats say that America would have been better off if Trump had been assassinated.

Digging in more detail, at least according to this one survey, 56 percent of the people who wished former President Donald Trump’s latest assassination attempt against him was successful are Democrats or lean Democrat. But, let’s also not forget the seven percent that are Republicans, and one more percent that lean Republican, as well. There’s also 12 percent that are independent that wishes he died of the total that said they would like as much.

On the whole, to be fair, 17 percent of respondents of a Napolitan News National Survey said “America [would] be better off if Donald Trump had been killed last weekend.” Another 14 percent said they’re “not sure.”

I’m sorry, but if you wish death upon someone simply for being a political counterpart — or for most other reasons — you’re a bad person. You don’t have to like what I just said, it’s simply the truth. Not MY truth or YOUR truth, but THE truth.

There were other notable demographic breakdowns on this topic, including gender age and race.

Of the 17 percent that said yes to America being better off with Trump dead, 19 percent are men and 14 percent are women. In terms of age, the largest percentage went to 18-34 year-olds with 23 percent. And by far, the race with the largest percentage of those who said yes was Hispanics with 30 percent of that demographic agreeing the country would be better off with Trump dead.

While this is kind of a sick question to ask for a survey, it’s also very revealing, even if only 1,000 registered voters were surveyed.

Just for context, the full question is as follows: “While it is always difficult to wish ill of another human being, would America be better off if Donald Trump had been killed last weekend?”

It’s fine to disagree with people. It’s perfectly alright to dislike someone who wants to take society in a different direction than what someone may think is the correct way. But, unless we’re talking about a dictator that has directly led to a legitimate genocide, has enslaved people or is involved with human trafficking of any kind, wishing death upon someone is definitely no bueno.

If you’re one of those people, check yourself or get checked.
