There’s no telling for sure how Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) recovery from his previous ailments have affected his judgement, but one thing is for sure. It seems that he’s thinking way more clearly than we gave him credit for in the past with some of his non-sensical meanderings.

Fetterman called out those that use the word “genocide” when it comes to Israel’s response to Hamas’ deadly terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. The senator had just finished talking about Hamas’ atrocities that they had carried out on that day before switching to the genocide talk, going so far as to call the country of South Africa out for their hypocrisy in calling Israel genocidal.

“Now we’re talking about genocide,” Fetterman said. “Now South Africa now is now bringing that kind of a trial. Maybe South Africa maybe ought to sit this one out when they’re talking about the behavior of [somewhat garbled] Israel.”

Fetterman is referring to an “alleged” white genocide that’s been going on in South Africa for years.

The communist Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema, reaffirmed his call to “Kill the Boer” last summer at the group’s 10th anniversary celebration. “Kill the Boer” is “a term for White Afrikaners — “kill the farmer,” as reported by The Washington Post.

Independent journalist and documentarian Lauren Southern even did a documentary called “Farmlands” in 2018 documenting the strife of white farmers in current day South Africa.

“Leaving this place is a luxury these people do not have,” Southern said toward the end of film. “My South African journey came to an end while the people I met are stuck in a home that no longer welcomes them, where they must fight to justify their very existence to a hostile majority.

Does this amount to genocide? Not yet. But according to organizations, like Genocide Watch, and taking into account everything I’ve seen and heard on the ground, South Africa is stepping closer to that reality every single day.”

And remember, that was said back in 2018.

As for Fetterman, it’s quite clear how he feels about Hamas, who — as you can see and hear in the video above — he calls “cowards.”
