I mean, what do libs think is going to happen when they constantly call for the minimum wage to increase over and over and over again? I thought it was insane to double the minimum wage to $15 an hour once upon a time. Heck, I think it’s insane to have a minimum wage at all. The market dictates the value of a job, not whether people can afford a home or not.

But, now that fast food chains in California are required to pay their employees a minimum wage of $20 an hour, complaints are now pouring in over those restaurants having to raise their prices.

Okay, fools. How do you expect them to make the money to pay those workers that exorbitant amount? Prices are going up at some fast food places as much as $4 for an individual item on the menu.

According to the New York Post:

The biggest leap was at a Burger King, where a Texas Double Whopper meal cost $15.09 on March 29 but surged to $16.89 on April 1, a whopping increase of $1.80 (nearly 12%) for the same meal.

The Big Fish meal also jumped from $7.49 on the menu before April 1 to $11.49 after — an increase of $4 (53%).

Oddly, some chains haven’t increased prices as of yet, but that’s easier to do when you replace human employees with kiosks, like at McDonald’s.

What some proponents of an increased minimum wage don’t understand and never will — probably because they’re too busy chewing their own tongues — is that when companies have to raise their prices because of said increase, it’s like the raise in wages means nothing.

For example, if you’re paid $8 an hour and a burger that you buy at a different restaurant costs $4, and then the law raises the your wages across the board to $10, forcing the business you bought the initial burger from to $5 or $6, then you’re really not benefitting from the raise, are you?

It’s simple logic.
