This is so sad, and we all can thank former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama for it. What am I referring to? Well, that a growing number of children are dumbasses now. The sad part is that for many of these kids, it’s not even their fault.

No Child Left Behind, my a**. Every kid needs to go to college…BS.

Independent non-profit organization Wirepoints, which does “original research commentary about Illinois’ economy and government, reported on the sad state of affairs concerning the public school system in the state, particularly in the Chicagoland area.

According to the report:

In 2024, there were 80 Illinois schools where not a single student tested proficient in math and 24 schools where no student tested proficient in reading. In 2023, it was 67 and 32, respectively.

Incredibly, officials in those schools graduated nearly 70% of their students in 2024.

“Not a single student.” For an entire school to be below grade level at anything, let along math and reading, is sad, and the funding for those schools should be taken away.

These “Red for Ed” teachers' union strikes, where teachers walk out on their students for more money, obviously isn’t working. Even if the extra money went to improve the schools, if the teachers aren’t worth a damn, and/or the curriculum and standards set by the state are constantly making the kids dumber, maybe those schools shouldn’t exist.

Think of it this way: If only 50 percent of the students at a school aren’t proficient in reading or math, that school should face repercussions. If “not a single student” meets the minimum standards, then what’s the point of the school other than being a daycare?

The majority of the failing schools in this report are part of the Chicago Public School system (CPS), the main vessel for the communist teachers' union that has terrorized public education for decades.

“Educational freedom for these children can’t come soon enough,” authors of the report, Ted Dabrowski and John Klingner, said in their conclusion. “Either our lawmakers will finally join the national wave of universal school choice that’s taking over the country, or Illinois will continue to lose. More Illinoisans will leave. Our work force will be increasingly weakened. And more people will become dependent on government.”
