There are certain left-of-center people who realize that the error of the majority of the Democratic Party’s ways, which particularly helped them lose in 2024, was to not embrace new media in the form of podcasts and independent journalists in favor of legacy media and traditional forms of promotion.

That’s why we’re beginning to see things like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) making an appearance on the “FLAGRANT” podcast with host and stand-up comedian, Andrew Schulz.

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the episode was when Schulz and Sanders talked about the faults of the Democratic Party, even though Sanders is an admitted “Democratic Socialist.”

“Essentially, Democrats say, ‘Status quo’s working okay. We’re going to tinker around the edges just to make a little bit of a change here,’” Sanders said. “[President Donald] Trump says, ‘The whole God d**n system is broken. I will fix it!’ Well, his solutions will make it worse, but he at least acknowledged it, that the system is broken. Democrats often don’t.”

After a couple of minutes of back-and-forth between Sanders and Schulz, co-host Akaash Singh asked Sanders a very pointed question.

“Could we not also say if, ostensively, there hasn’t been a fair primary for the Democrats since 2008?” Akaash asked before adding on. “Are they not also a threat to democracy?”

“Fair enough,” Sanders responded. “That is…yeah, I’m not going to argue with that point.”

At least Sanders could admit the fact that the left consistently seems to be guilty of projection, claiming their counterparts are doing what they are often doing themselves.

That’s more than you can say for most leftist politicians.
