Need a big dose of ‘Merica? There’s apparently going to be a daylong festival celebrating the love for our country and flag happening on Labor Day, September 2, this year.
Country singer John Rich, one half of the superstar duo Big & Rich, announced on his X account that a celebration of “the boys from UNC [University of North Carolina] who protected our flag” will occur on Labor Day in North Carolina and include a musical lineup, which will be “live-streamed across America!”
The lineup, so far, includes Big & Rich (of course), Aaron Lewis (singer of “Am I The Only One”), Cowboy Troy and singer of “God Bless the U.S.A.,” Lee Greenwood.

If you remember, a group of UNC students held up the American flag in opposition to pro-Palestinian protesters attempting to rip it down back in late April. Rich spoke about how he felt about it to Fox News Radio.
“You know what struck me about it? Just above and beyond their defense of the flag was what they were concerned with is that the flag didn’t hit the ground. Now the way I was raised, and probably you too, and a lot of people listening is you’re taught about the flag that under no circumstances do you ever let that flag touch the ground. And that’s what those boys were doing, was holding it up above their heads so it wouldn’t touch the ground. I was so impressed by that, that I reached out to them pretty much on Twitter, and I said, hey, if you guys want a free concert when you have your big celebration party, give me a shout. I’d love to be there. And as of today, we’ve actually now connected and we’re looking at some dates. Man, I think this could turn into a really big situation. We’re going to call it Falgstock [sic].”
As noted above, Rich wrote to “stay tuned” for more announcement on the event, including possible additions to the musical lineup.
Good on Rich and the others for celebrating what the establishment, propaganda media like to constantly downplay — love for this country.
