When is enough enough? How many times will governments persecute people like independent journalist and activist Tommy Robinson for the crime of speaking truths the powers-that-be don’t want spoken? Which begs the question; Who’s the bad guy? People like Robinson or the governments themselves? I think we know the answer to that one.

While people exercising their freedoms might be enemies to the state, it could be said that the state is the enemy of the people.

Robinson was arrested Monday evening by authorities in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for supposedly having an “outstanding immigration warrant” against him. The arrest came moments after concluding a speech at a Rebel News event, where Robinson was seemingly kidnapped by “four undercover police and four uniformed police.

Video shows the arresting officers giving friends of Robinson, including the founder of Rebel News Ezra Levant, no details as to how they could help their friend, what actions would be taking place going forward or where they were taking him.

Levant wrote the following about the ordeal on Rebel News following Robinson’s release from custody:

We tracked Tommy down to the main federal building in Calgary, where he was being questioned by immigration officials.

That’s a laugh — I didn’t know that Canada ever stopped anyone from coming into the country, legal or not. Of course, Tommy isn’t a bogus refugee or someone just coming here to take advantage of taxpayer generosity — he was on a speaking tour. But that’s the problem: Tommy’s message of freedom of speech and opposition to mass migration could be the real the reason he was arrested.

Whether there’s any validity to Levant’s assertions is up for debate. But, as know about Canada (especially under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau), free speech is not a luxury afforded to Canadians — or anyone else — that goes against the government narrative while in country.

As seen towards the end of the video above, Robinson had his own message for Trudeau as he was being abduc — I mean, taken away by authorities.

“F**k Justin Trudeau,” Robinson said as he laughed at the absurdity of the whole situation.

Unfortunately for Robinson, as part of the conditions of his release from custody, he’s not allowed to leave “southern Alberta,” let alone Canada for his home of Luton, England.

“The lawyer we hired was able to talk to the police officer in charge,” Levant wrote, “and just after midnight Tommy was released on the condition that he surrender his passport, not leave the country, and not leave southern Alberta and check in three times a week at the federal building. Bizarrely, this order is indefinite — there is no court date for him. He’s trapped.”

As bad as we may think we have it in the U.S. with the government seemingly under the rule of tyrants, thank your lucky stars you don’t live in Canada or the U.K.
