When it comes to comedy, is every joke funny? Of course not. Can some jokes actually hurt people’s feelings? Absolutely. But, just don’t listen to that comedian. It’s that simple. You don’t get to “cancel” or attack someone just because you don’t like a joke. Not everything is about you. Speech you don’t like is still allowed to exist in the U.S. because we have freedom of speech. Get over yourself.
Apparently, Delta Air Lines doesn’t recognize the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. If you say something they don’t like, they’ll ban you from their services and label you as if you’re a violent “attacker.”
Recently, comedian and actor Tyler Fischer put out a post on X of a Delta flight attendant who wore a “Pride” pin on their uniform along with an admittedly vulgar joke, which ironically is also an astute observation.
Fischer made a point using comedy, and Delta put him on their “No Fly” list. And Delta did all this to Fischer AFTER he deleted the post.
“It was deltas employees that rehashed the deleted tweet and reposted it on their own and called for a boycott,” Fischer wrote in the thread. “Their employees encouraged other airline workers to boycott me and attack me as well. Waiting patiently to see if @Delta fires them for the same reason they banned me.”
Sorry, Mr. Fischer. You should know by now that it only works one way. Make fun of the Alphabet People and they will come for their pound of flesh.

So what was the “offending” joke?
“Hey @Delta why do we need to know [if] our flight attendants eat p***y or suck d**k?” Fischer wrote in the now-deleted tweet. “Is that needed to make the plane fly? Looking for a new non woke airline.”
Was the joke necessarily funny? Not really, but it didn’t need to be. Was it vulgar? Sure, but that’s part of the joke.
What Delta did next was no joke.
In a letter to Fischer regarding the matter, Delta affirmed their support of all of their employees, regardless of identifiers. And while Delta did previously ban all pins on their employees’ uniforms back in July after an incident with attendants wearing Palestinian flag pins, they still made an example out of Fischer.
“In short, the post was disrespectful towards our flight attendant and contrary to Delta’s values and culture.
We have deemed your behavior to be unacceptable and made the decision to not allow you to fly Delta Air Lines. For the safety of our crew members and our customers, we cannot risk this type of behavior from you again.
If you purchase a ticket to travel with us — you will not be able to check-in and the ticket will be cancelled and refunded. Please do not attempt to purchase a ticket from Delta until receiving notice of reinstatement from us. If you should attempt to fly with us while on our No Fly list, you assume the risk of having to pay a higher fare on another airline after you are prohibited from checking in with Delta.”
So, Delta can dictate to other airlines how much they charge their passengers? How does that work?
Delta has had a myriad of problems over the past few years with multiple critiques concerning their customer service, as well as mechanical issues involving their equipment. I guess we need to add another Delta failure to the list.
For the video of Fischer explaining the whole situation, including that he’s received death threats, watch below:
