It apparently depends on who you are and what you mean to the justice system in New York as to whether you get fair treatment in legal proceedings.
On Tuesday, Manhattan District Attorney (DA) Alvin Bragg requested that Judge Juan Merchan hold former President Donald Trump in contempt of court after Trump published multiple social media posts concerning former porn actress Stormy Daniels and Trump attorney Michael Cohen.
According to Fox News:
Bragg filed the motion just minutes after the second day of Trump's hush money payments trial got underway in Manhattan. The motion relates to Merchan's gag order against Trump, which prohibits him from speaking publicly about prosecutors, witnesses, court officials and their families.[...]
"Both the public and the participants in the criminal trial deserve reassurance that the judicial system stands ready to protect them and to preserve the rule of law in the face of defendant's extreme and deliberate provocations," Bragg argues in the motion.

As reported in a clip from Fox News, if Trump is determined to be in violation, of which there are three allegations, he would be fined $1,000 for each violation.

Daniels, who was ruled to owe Trump hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, has said that she "will go to jail before I pay a penny."
Is this another case of 'Rules for thee, but not for me?' That's why I'm just going to leave that determination to all of you.
