It used to make me sad to see just how much the powers-that-be in Chicago have degraded that once beautiful city. But, to be honest, it just disgusts me now. People, including hundreds that aren’t legally in this country are given living conditions and food for free at the expense of the ignorant Chicago taxpayers that keep voting for more of it.

This is just the latest example of entitlement and degradation.

Reportedly, over 400 migrants are being sheltered at O’Hare International Airport, and the migrants are now complaining about the “inhumane” conditions that they are living under for free.

O’Hare, which is nestled in the northwest Chicago suburbs but was basically annexed as part of Chicago so the city’s lawmakers could take advantage of the tax revenue generated by the airport, is currently occupied by “approximately 433 migrants” being sheltered on the ground floor of the building “behind large black curtains,” according to News Nation.

There have been reports of migrants complaining about the living conditions, calling them “inhumane.”

“Here, we are truly in conditions that are not at all humane,” a migrant told News Nation. “There are many children sick to their stomachs and other things because the food they are being given is not adequate food.”

In that case, maybe they should apply for asylum in their home countries.

However, according to The Blaze, “Another migrant stated that most are only staying at the airport for approximately 10 days, at which point the city places them in more permanent shelters.”

So, if the migrants are only there for 10 days, and they had to endure the trek to illegally cross into the U.S., then logic would dictate that they would be more than adept to handle the food at O’Hare being given to them.

If they had any money of their own, O’Hare has offshoots of some of the finest restaurants in the Chicagoland area. Sure, it’s an airport, so it can get pricey. But, there are plenty of fast food places in the airport.

It might sound cold, but as the old saying goes, ‘Beggars can’t be choosers.’

I would have more empathy for people coming to America for a better life if their first act in this country wasn’t to break the law, essentially making it even more difficult for those attempting to come here the legal way.

Oh, Chicago. How far you have fallen.
