The federal government — under President Joe Biden’s regime — put a reporter in handcuffs. Why? For being a reporter.

The Blaze’s Steve Baker has been scouring over surveillance footage and coverage of the event of January 6, 2021 in an attempt to do some actual journalism and provide people with the truth about the events of that day, no matter what the facts proved to be.

On Friday, Baker was surrendered to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who summoned him to turn himself in and face reported misdemeanor charges for some kind of role federal authorities claim he had during the events of January 6.

According to multiple sources, Baker was asked to turn himself in wearing “shorts and sandals” — for whatever reason. But, Baker showed up on Friday, showing respect to himself and his dignity, wearing a suit and tie.

“I’m not going to sleep tonight. I’m not even going to try. It is my way, anyway,” Baker said to The Blaze Founder Glenn Beck on Thursday. “And so, I’m just going to prepare, pray, and then I’m going to put on my suit and tie and walk in with my head up.”

“They seem to feel the need to give me a dose of the personal humiliation treatment,” Baker said in a previous interview.

One source on X is reporting that Baker, who didn’t initially know what the FBI was charging him with, is facing four different charges. They are as follows:

  • Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority.
  • Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.
  • Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building.
  • Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

No word yet if the pro-Hamas protesters that demonstrated in the Capitol building back in November will face the same charges from the FBI or DOJ.

And now, video reportedly captured by The Blaze shows Baker being led away by feds to a vehicle where he’ll be transported to God knows where.
