Bernie Sanders Calls Netanyahu 'War Criminal' Ahead of Congressional Address

Leave it to “Democratic Socialist” Rep. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to compound the embarrassment directed towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the U.S.

Netanyahu was already disrespected when he arrived in Washington D.C. on Monday without a greeting from President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris. Now, Sanders — a Jewish man — has once again called Netanyahu a “war criminal” before his address to Congress on Wednesday.

“Tomorrow will be unique in bringing Prime Minister Netanyahu to address a joint meeting of Congress,” said Sanders on Tuesday, according to The Guardian. “It will be the first time in American history that a war criminal has been given that honor.”

But, that’s not all.

Apparently, Sanders also said that Netanyahu “should not be welcome in the United States Congress.”

Why? We’ve allowed people like disgraced Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) into Congress for years, among many other corrupt politicians.

Just because the left can’t admit that the conflict between Israel and Palestine/Hamas is a war, and unfortunately, people die in wars, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a “war criminal” when the “side” you support isn’t winning. And you can’t just call those deaths a “genocide,” when the other side killed civilians repeatedly in terrorist attacks over the years.

Look, I’m a person that puts this country first over any other, and feels that conflicts between other countries should be left to other countries to hash out. And I can even understand someone’s displeasure over a leader from a country they might not support visiting this nation.

But, Netanyahu is already here, and he’s going to address Congress whether the socialists and communists in Congress like it or not. It’s not really wise to further enflame tensions where it’s not needed in conflicts that really shouldn’t involve the U.S.

Alas, here we are. Get over it, Bernie. Israel has a right to exist.
