Let me preface everything I’m about to say by saying that Alec Baldwin is a very good actor — “Glengarry, Glen Ross,” “The Edge,” “The Hunt for Red October,” etc.
That said, Baldwin is also known for being a spectacular level of jerk. Whether he’s hitting journalists or “allegedly” killing videographers, Baldwin has always been the opposite of the characters he portrays in films. Basically, outside of his bubble, he seems to be unlikeable.
“The Royal Tenenbaums” narrator was in Italy receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Torino Film Festival when he decided to praise Italians for their comprehension of the news while deriding Americans as “very uninformed about reality.”
Of course, he would praise an area of the world that is firmly in the chokehold of globalists and their agenda.
To be fair, the first part of Baldwin’s comments — according to The Hollywood Reporter — was pretty accurate.
“Television news in the United States is a business. They have to make money," Baldwin said. “There’s a hole. There's a vacuum. There is a gap, if you will, in information for Americans.”
I’ve been saying for years that people need to remember that the establishment propaganda media — before being a source of information — is a business. Their job is to garner ratings and make money through avenues like ad revenue before it’s their job to report any kind of “truth” to the masses.
It’s the next part of what Baldwin said where he proves, once again, that he’s still the same jerk that we’ve all come to know and detest.

“Americans are very uninformed about reality – what's really going on,” Baldwin added. “With climate change, Ukraine, Israel…You name it, all the biggest topics in the world, Americans have an appetite for a little bit of information.”
You gotta love how he thinks climate change is the biggest topic in the world. It sounds like he’s the “American” who’s “very uninformed about reality.” The proof is that he has no idea what the average REAL American feels are the “biggest topics in the world.”
Immigration. The economy. Free speech. Gun rights. These are the things that affect everyday Americans, not the elite who don’t have to worry about such things. They don’t have to worry about immigration — those people are the ones the elite likes to employ to do the things they think are beneath them. Plus, they live in gated mansions. They’re filthy rich for being professional liars, so no matter what condition the economy is in, they don’t have to worry about it. Celebrities are the ultimate purveyors of political correctness, so they don’t mind if speech is squelched, because they think the rules don’t apply to them. And, they are surrounded by armed security, so gun rights don’t mean a thing to them as long as the people who protect them from “everyday Americans” are strapped.
And predictably, Baldwin believes that people like him and the industry he’s in fill the gaps of information that the news that he says Americans don’t understand doesn’t.
“That vacuum is filled by the film industry,” Baldwin continued. “Not just the independent film industry, not just the documentary film industry – which are very important around the world. But by narrative films, as well. Where the filmmakers and the buyers, the studios, and the networks and the streamers, are willing to go that way. They're willing to try it.”
Alec Baldwin thinks Americans are "uninformed" about "what's really going on" in the world and says the film industry is helping to plug the gap.

So Baldwin believes that it’s not just that Americans don’t have the capacity to grasp the constantly lying news, but that they don’t have the stones to create the narratives that people like him are willing to.
The ego of people like Baldwin isn’t able to fit through your average doorway. He truly believes that he and those who blindly agree with him — and push the same agenda — are the arbiters of what is real, when in true reality, Baldwin lives in Fantasyland.
