A new poll has this person as the leading primary contender among 2020 Democratic presidential candidates – except she isn’t even in the race for her party’s nomination.

The Boston Herald-Franklin Pierce University poll released on Monday shows former First Lady Michelle Obama as the front-runner in the primary race, if she were to hypothetically throw her name in for consideration.

In New Hampshire, the state which is holding the first 2020 primaries in February, the poll shows Sen. Elizabeth Warren ahead at 25 percent followed by former Vice President Joe Biden at 24 percent and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders at 22 percent.

Obama has said on multiple occasions that she has no interest in “returning to public service like that,” despite being encouraged to run. The poll suggests that if Obama did decide to run, she would have 26 percent of support, taking the lead.

As to whom she plans to support among the saturated field of 2020 Democratic hopefuls, Obama said in an interview with CBS News in July that she would be getting “behind whoever comes out of that primary, so we're watching everyone, we're supporting everyone, we're giving advice to whoever seeks it.”

Tuesday night marks the fourth 2020 Democratic primary debate.
