It’s remarkable how many people at CNN keep their jobs after all their unprofessional actions, but it’s downright shocking that CNN anchor and host of Cuomo Prime Time, Chris Cuomo doesn’t get axed from his gig for using his media connections to protect alleged sex pest and former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo from his scandals.

According to CNBC, newly uncovered records have revealed that the CNN employee used his media influence to establish communication with aides of his brother Governor Cuomo.

The report stated, “CNN host Chris Cuomo used his sources in the media world to seek information on women who accused his brother Andrew Cuomo, then the governor of New York, of sexual harassment.”

The bombshell report published by New York Attorney General Letitia James last August found that Governor Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 different women. After the document came out, Cuomo resigned in disgrace last August..

Though Chris Cuomo has publicly acknowledged that he helped his brother polish his responses to the assault allegations, exhibits recently provided by the Attorney General’s investigation include a transcript of his interview with NY investigators, showing that “Chris Cuomo was actively in touch with Melissa DeRosa, who was the then-governor’s top aide, about incoming media reports that detailed alleged sexual harassment by Andrew Cuomo.”

In addition, he also offered his help to the governor’s office in dealing with the incoming accusations and actually “dictated” statements for his brother to use in public responses to them. CNN’s Cuomo actually drafted a statement for his brother in order to publicly refuse to resign and sent it to DeRosa.

In part it read, “I will not resign, I cannot resign. I understand the political pressure. I understand the stakes of political warfare, and that’s what this is… And I understand the conformity that can be forced by cancel culture.“

Records show that Cuomo requested DeRosa let him be involved in defending his brother. In one specific instance he insisted, “Please let me help with the prep.”

And after The New York Times published a piece detailing the allegation that the governor attempted to kiss a woman at a wedding, Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa, saying, “I have a lead on the wedding girl.”

Shortly after these details were reported, CNN indicated that they would review them.

The news network’s spokesperson, Matt Dornic said in a statement, “The thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits that were released today by the NY Attorney General deserve a thorough review and consideration.”

“We will be having conversations and seeking additional clarity about their significance as they relate to CNN over the next several days,” Dornic added. Well, hopefully CNN gives Chris Cuomo a harsher punishment than they gave CNN Chief Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who was allowed to return to the network after an eight month hiatus for masturbating on an important New Yorker Zoom call.
