This new #BlackLivesMatter photo has taken the internet by storm.

The original version of the picture shows a "#BlackLivesMatter" banner being held up by two members of the Southern Illinois University Black Law Student Association. The photoshopped version above, the editor unknown, powerfully exposes the faults of the movement simply with a few added lines of text.

The modified banner reads,

“#BlackLivesMatter … But only when they’re killed by cops. Killed by each other? Not so much.”

The sign points out how the national conversation about racial justice and police force has either ignored or failed to acknowledge a critical issue: how far more black lives are taken by other blacks than by police officers of any color.

Back in Aug. 2014, amid ongoing protests in Ferguson, Mo., Fox News’ Juan Williams said,

“No. 1 cause of death, young black men 15 to 34 – murder. Who’s committing the murder? Not police. Other black men.”

After analyzing data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Politifact verified Williams’ claim as true.

Even more black lives are ended each year by abortion, a “right” that the left vigorously champions.

According to CDC data, abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States, responsible for more black deaths than all other causes of death combined.

Yes, some undeniably experience more hardship than others. That doesn’t mean we should disregard or lose sight of the fact that all lives matter—black and white, born and unborn.
