Bristol Motor Speedway says there are no plans to change the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race in Bristol, Tennessee this August.

"This has been a good long-standing partnership and we plan to continue," Bristol Motor Speedway said in a statement.

The NRA has co-sponsored the event at the Tennessee venue since 2016.

"Racing fans and NRA members treasure their freedom and outdoor heritage, and the Night Race is where we go to celebrate that love of freedom, love of the shooting sports, and love of the great outdoors," said Richard Childress, NASCAR championship team owner and NRA 2nd vice president in a 2015 press release announcing the co-sponsorship.

"It's an electrifying race and an exciting way to celebrate the American values we share and the legacy we preserve for young sportsmen and hunters all across this great nation," Childress said.

According to NESN, Bristol’s parent company, Speedway Motorsports Inc., will also continue its discounted ticket program for NRA members in 2018.
