North Korea fired yet another ballistic missile, the Pentagon confirmed on Tuesday.

The launch prompted a “precision strike” in response from South Korea, whose military is analyzing the missile launch with the U.S., according to an official at South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Officials are assessing the missile’s trajectory and what kind of missile was launched. It is believed that the missile was launched from Pyongsong, a town northeast of Pyongyang, at 3:17 a.m. local time and flew east toward the Sea of Japan. The missile reportedly landed in waters designated as Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Twitter that President Trump was briefed on the missile launch while the missile was “still in the air.” The President is expected to respond to this latest North Korean provocation in an address from the Roosevelt Room in the White House on Tuesday.

North Korea’s last missile launch was in September.
