Elon Musk had one simple response to President Joe Biden appointing a far-left radical to head up his new “Disinformation Governance Board” in the Department of Homeland Security to combat alleged fake news online – and it’s pretty much what everyone with at least half a brain is thinking.
"'Ministry of Truth' is trending because Biden admin appointed a radical leftist to run a censorship board in the Department of Homeland Security a few days after @ElonMusk purchase of @Twitter announced,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton tweeted Thursday.
To which Musk responded, “This is messed up.”

He’s not wrong.
On Wednesday, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Alejandro Mayorkas testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee that the Biden administration has created a “‘Disinformation Governance Board’ to combat misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterms,” according to Fox News. The new government arm was announced shortly after Twitter agreed to Musk’s $44 billion offer to buy the company, triggering leftists worried that Musk will open the social media site up to free speech and stop censoring right-leaning voices.
Russian disinformation expert Nina Jankowicz has been tapped to head up the new “Ministry of Truth,” despite her history of criticizing the Hunter Biden laptop as pro-Trump propaganda, and her recent publicly voiced concerns about Musk acquiring Twitter.
