Not only has Elon Musk blown the proverbial lid off Twitter censorship and opened the platform back up to speech that’s been banned on the site for years, it seems he’s leading the way - and stepping on all kinds of leftist third rails in the process.

The SpaceX/Tesla billionaire (and now owner of Twitter) started a firestorm in Liberal Looneyville over the weekend when he tweeted that his preferred pronouns are “Prosecute/Fauci,” suggesting the NIAID director and COVID lockdown mastermind should face criminal charges for using U.S. tax dollars to fund gain-of-function research that - let’s just say, as a total hypothetical here - could have contributed to the COVID virus being developed in a lab in Wuhan, China.

You know, for instance.

That suggestion didn’t sit too well with Fauci-loving leftists, who continue to praise the highest-paid government employee even as thousands of school children fall further behind and business owners try to rebuild their lives two years after COVID lockdowns all but decimated our society.

Former astronaut Scott Kelly shot back at Musk: “Elon, please don’t mock and promote hate toward already marginalized and at-risk-of-violence members of the #LGBTQ+ community. They are real people with real feelings. Furthermore, Dr Fauci is a dedicated public servant whose sole motivation was saving lives.”

“I strongly disagree,” Musk responded. “Forcing your pronouns upon others when they didn’t ask, and implicitly ostracizing those who don’t, is neither good nor kind to anyone. As for Fauci, he lied to Congress and funded gain-of-function research that killed millions of people. Not awesome imo.”

It’s a tweet that, just a year ago, likely would have gotten a right-leaning user outright booted off the website.

Oh, how the turntables…
